West Â鶹AV Warriors forward Johannes Løkkeberg played in his second consecutive World Junior Hockey Championships.
Because of his experience of playing in the tournament in the past, the 19-year-old captained Team Norway at this year’s event, collecting an assist in his team’s four games.
His team, however, struggled in the tournament, not getting out of round-robin play as they went 0-4, beating outscored 26-8.
Løkkeberg was one of four current BCHL players to play at this year’s World Junior Hockey Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden.
With being eliminated from the tournament, Løkkeberg is expected to the Warriors lineup on Friday, Jan. 5 as they host the Merritt Centennials at Royal LePage Place. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
