Extra Life raised funds for B.C. Children's Hospital with arcade games at the 2025 Â鶹AV Comic Con held June 28-29.

MNP Place was swimming with creatures of all kinds for the 2025 Â鶹AV Comic Con held June 28-29.

Cosplayers, gamers, anime lovers, and more gathered for two days of fantasy fun including vendors, entertainment, and a chance to get advice from experts.

Jesse Nelson was at Comic Con with Extra Life and a handful of arcade games to raise funds for B.C. Children's Hospital.

Extra Life is a charitable organization that has partnered with the Children's Miracle Network to raise funds for member hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.

"We do two things. We do con appearances, bringing in our charity arcade," said Nelson. "My personal team does a 24 hour live stream every November. Just a big gaming telethon, essentially, to raise money."

The funds stay as local as possible, with the B.C. Children's Hospital being the primary Children's Miracle Network hospital in the province.

Games included Street Fighter, Ms. Pac Man, and the Simpsons. All the games were free to play with donations encouraged.
