City staff will ask council to begin the process of updating future land use designations and rezoning dozens of land parcels in Â鶹AV at its Monday (Feb. 24) meeting.

include administrative fixes for 15 parcels in various areas of the city. Another 166 parcels surrounding Okanagan College are currently designated as Educational/Institutional. The majority of the parcels are within a provincially designated transit exchange.

Okanagan College does not have plans to acquire and/or expand into these parcels so the future land use should be redesignated as Pandosy Urban Centre, a staff report states.

Also at Monday’s meeting, council will give initial consideration to rezoning applications to allow a childcare facility at 350 Patterson Road in Rutland, a retail cannabis store at University Business Park, and residential housing projects at 5091Gordon Drive, and 465-495 Dougall Rd. North.

Council is expected to give three readings to rezoning applications for an apartment development at 1210, 1220 and 1226 Glenmore Dr., a childcare centre planned for 964 Laurier Avenue, and townhome developments at 2236 and 2248 Stillingfleet Rd.
