Drivers travelling from Lake Country to Â鶹AV on Highway 97 reported seeing as many as seven collisions before 9 a.m.
The area around Duck Lake was reported to be the most treacherous according to several comments on social media.
Multiple vehicles had slid into the ditch near the Â鶹AV International Airport.
Those who drove along Glenmore Road North also found conditions to be icy.
