A record number of Liberal MPs are gathering in Âé¶čAV to hear about the issues that matter most in the Interior.
From July 14â15, the Pacific Caucus â made up of 20 Liberal MP, including five federal ministers â will meet with local leaders, businesses, Indigenous representatives, and others to better understand the regionâs challenges and priorities.
âFrom affordability, housing, public safety, and economic diversification, to environment, and climate resilience, it is important that the unique needs and priorities of British Columbians outside of the Lower Mainland are heard and understood,â said Stephen Fuhr, Âé¶čAV MP, host of the event.
He added that the visit âwill help shine a light on our region, the unique challenges and opportunities in the interior, and ensure we are building a stronger future for all British Columbians.â
MP for Vancouver-Granville MP, and Pacific Caucus chair, Taleeb Noormohamed, noted the importance of connecting directly with constituents.
âBeing in Âé¶čAV gives us the opportunity to hear directly from the people who are helping build Canadaâs economy across a diverse range of sectors,â he said.
He added that British Columbians can count on the provinceâs Liberal MPs to âdeliver for them as part of Mark Carneyâs government."
