Dinosaurs are stomping into Âé¶čAV.
The successful, Dinosaurs of BC exhibit, which debuted at the Royal BC Museum in 2023, is coming to the Okanagan Heritage Museum.
âWe are so excited to be hosting this exhibit,â said Âé¶čAV Museums Societyâs Curatorial Manager, Amanda Snyder. âWeâve all got dino-fever. Our visitors, especially the kids, are just as excited.â
Itâs an opportunity to get to know âBusterâ, the Iron Lizard of the Sustut River, and the other dinosaurs that once roamed the province.
The exhibit features a dig for dinosaur fossils, a dinosaur-themed âMyth Busterâ game, dinosaur eggs, and a draw to win a special dino-themed gift basket.
Support from the federal government and Chances Casino helped make the rental of the travelling exhibition possible.
Dinosaurs of BC will be at the Okanagan Heritage Museum from June 6 to September 30. Admission is by donation.
An opening celebration for Dinosaurs of BC is set for Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Okanagan Heritage Museum.
