Comedian Tom Green to host CCMAs in Âé¶čAV

Tom Green will host the Canadian Country Music Awards at Âé¶čAV's Prospera Place on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Canadian actor and comedian Tom Green is coming to Âé¶čAV twice in a five-month span.

The 53-year-old has been selected to host the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs) taking place on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Prospera Place. This year also marks the first time the event will be televised.

“I’m honoured to be hosting the CCMA Awards,” said Green in a press release. “Country music has always been a big part of my life growing up in Canada. I can’t wait to be part of this celebration and to bring a few surprises to the stage in Âé¶čAV.”

Country Music Week will be running in Âé¶čAV from Wednesday, Sept. 10 to Saturday, Sept. 13 with a variety of different events around town.

The awards show is expected to showcase Canada's top talent in the genre with many performances as well.

“We’re beyond excited to welcome Tom Green to host this year’s CCMA Awards,” said CCMA president Amy Jeninga. “His bold creativity and deep Canadian roots make him the perfect choice to lead a show that celebrates connection, community, and world-class entertainment. With Tom at the helm, and a powerhouse lineup of performers, we’re confident Âé¶čAV is in for a night to remember.”

On top of hosting the awards show, Green also recently announced a new Canadian tour called the Stompin' Comedy tour, which features 30 stops. One of them is a return to Âé¶čAV on Jan. 28, 2026. That show is taking place at the Âé¶čAV Community Theatre and tickets can be found on its .
