Brenda Domerchie received a $20 Crossword Extreme XI, Scratch & Win as a gift for watching her grandchildren, and while problem-solving the puzzle discovered that she had actually won the gameâs top prize of $150,000.
âI was in the kitchen,â said Domerchie. âMy first thought was I need to let my daughter know, but I couldnât! I texted, then I Facetimed and then I tried calling my son-in-law.â
The West Âé¶čAV resident plans to retire early with her windfall.
âThis is nice. It makes retirement easier to plan for.,â she said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Costco on Baron Road in Âé¶čAV.
