The West Âé¶¹AV Warriors will try to dig out of an early season B.C. Hockey League slump when they battle the Salmon Arm Silverbacks this weekend in a home-and-home set.
The Interior Division rivals will face off Friday at the Shaw Centre, before returning to Royal LePage Place Saturday for the rematch. Face off Saturday in West Âé¶¹AV between the Warriors' is 7 p.m.
The defending RBC Cup champion Warriors (5-5-0) have lost four of their last five games, scoring just eight goals in the process.
Three of those came in a 5-3 home-ice loss to the Silverbacks on Friday night.
On Saturday at Royal LePage Place, the Warriors came up short again in a 3-2 loss to the Okanagan rival Vernon Vipers.
Former Okanagan Rockets goaltender Cole Demers stymied the Warriors with a 41-save performance in the Vernon net.
Forward Braiden Epp scored both goals for West Âé¶¹AV, his first two since being acquired earlier this month from the Prince George Spruce Kings.
