Âé¶¹AV Chiefs drop 5-2 decision to Kamloops Storm

The Âé¶¹AV Chiefs remain in the basement of the KIJHL Bill Ohlhausen Division after a 5-2 loss to the Kamloops Storm on Jan. 18, 2025.

The Âé¶¹AV Chiefs could not weather the Kamloops Storm in a 5-2 loss at Rutland Arena on Saturday (Jan. 18).

Kamloops went up 2-0 by the 15 minute mark of the first period on goals by Nikolas Dimopoulos (4), and David Ander (3). The Chiefs didn’t score until the third period when Owen Miller and Aiden Morcom both potted their 12th goals of the season to tie the game 2-2. Miller’s goal came on the powerplay. 

The Storm took over from there, getting goals from Luca D’Amore (7), on the powerplay, and Luke Rothfos (9) and Braycen Dube (19) scoring empty net goals with two minutes remaining in the game.

The Chiefs outshot the Storm 40-39 and went 1-4 on the powerplay. On Jan. 17, Âé¶¹AV beat Sicamous 4-2, ending the Eagles six game win streak. 

Âé¶¹AV hosts the KIJHL leading Princeton Posse at Rutland Arena on Friday, Jan. 24.
