This long-weekend features a jam-packed weekend for Â鶹AV sports.
Â鶹AV Rockets
The Â鶹AV Rockets will look to end their 11-game losing streak as they're set to play three games in four days this long weekend.
Starting on Friday night, the Rockets take on the Kamloops Blazers in a home-and-home series. The two teams will play at 7 p.m. at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops on Feb. 14 and then meet at Â鶹AV's Prospera Place on Saturday night at 6:05 p.m.
Following a day off on Sunday, Â鶹AV will hit the ice again on Monday afternoon as they welcome the Tri-City Americans to town for a Family Day face off. Puck drop is at 2:05 p.m.
With their losing streak, the Rockets sit at the bottom of the WHL's Western Conference with a record of 16-30-4-1. Kamloops sits one spot ahead at 18-29-4-0. Tri-City is 26-21-4-1, sixth in the West.
West Â鶹AV Warriors
It's a two-game weekend for the Warriors.
On Saturday, Feb. 15, they welcome the Blackfalds Bulldogs to Royal LePage Place. Then, the team travels down Highway 97 on Monday to take on the Penticton Vees in an afternoon affair.
Going into the weekend, West Â鶹AV is seventh in the BCHL's Interior Conference at 16-18-5-2. The Vees remain the top of the entire BCHL with a record of 30-7-3-0 while Blackfalds is last in the BCHL at 6-31-2-0.
Saturday is also the first ever Glow Show night at Royal LePage Place. Everyone in attendance will be given a complimentary glow sticks and other grow in the dark items they can use for an interactive glow show just before the game. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. while Monday's is at 2 p.m.
Â鶹AV Chiefs
The Chiefs are also playing the same Saturday and Monday schedule, but both games are at their home rink - Rutland Arena.
On Saturday, they welcome the Kimberley Dynamiters (29-8-3-0) to town, followed by the Chase Heat (12-24-2-1) on Monday.
Â鶹AV currently sits fifth in their division at 15-21-1-3.
Saturday's puck drop is at 7 p.m. while Monday's is at 5 p.m.
