After a wild and dramatic walk-off win on Sunday night against Bellingham, the will open their final home series of the regular season tonight against the Walla Walla Sweets. First pitch at Elks Stadium ins 6:35 p.m.

The Falcons (7-14) have six games remaining, closing out their schedule with three more games this weekend in Walla Walla.

By virture of their 17-10 record in the first half of the season, the Falcons have already secured a place in the North Division final next week against the yet-to-be determined second half winner.

Âé¶čAV is coming off a series win over the Bells at Elks Stadium, capped off by a 15-14 victory Sunday night.

After Bellingham had scored three times in the top of the ninth to tie the game, the Falcons’ Taylor Wright provide the game-winning single in the bottom of the inning to end a wild, see-saw affair.

“We have very similar lineups,” Falcons manager Bryan Donohue said. “Everyone was going out there and competing. It’s funny how games like this can sometimes come together. I think the biggest thing for us is when the game calmed down. We were able to tag on a couple of big runs that ultimately put us in control.”

In Donohue’s opinion, the story of the night was Falcons reliever Ian Turner who picthed 5 2/3 innings of relief. “Turner extended himself longer than he had all summer. It’s too bad we couldn’t get the victory for him. We had a couple unlucky things happen late to prevent that. He was great for us.”
