After on Sunday afternoon, Green Party leader Andrew Weaver will spend his second day in a row in the Okanagan on Monday with stops in Âé¶čAV and Vernon.

Weaver had a Monday morning meeting with tech hub Accelerate Okanagan and will tour an orchard and cidery with the B.C. Fruit Growers Association later this morning.

The leader of the Greens arrived in Âé¶čAV Sunday to meet with area candidates at a rally before attending the Âé¶čAV Rockets game Sunday night.

The trip was put together on short notice as the Greens target the three Okanagan ridings, traditional strong-holds by the BC Liberals.

“I wouldn’t be coming to Âé¶čAV if I didn’t think we have a surge of support here: We wouldn’t be in the Okanagan today and tomorrow,” he said noting they feel they have a chance to gain serious political ground in the Okanagan. “It’s a very real possibility but I would leave it up to the voters. I will say this if you don’t vote for what you believe in you will never get what you want.”

Following the morning events in Âé¶čAV, Weaver will go to Vernon for mini-rally and canvassing with Keli Westgate, Green candidate for Vernon-Monashee.
