The Âé¶čAV Falcons will battle the Yakima Pippins in a charity baseball game benefitting the YMCA of Okanagan on July 22, 6:35 p.m., at Elks Stadium.
This fun and entertaining event is an inexpensive night out for families. The game will include a nine innings of baseball, a kids zone and more with all ticket sale proceeds going to the YMCAâs Strong Kids Campaign.
âFunds raised through this charity baseball event will make it possible for disadvantaged children to access Y programs their families otherwise wouldnât be able to afford,â explainedYMCA general manager of fund development Rhonda Zakala.
âThese programs include preschool, after school care, swim lessons, youth leadership, health and development. We canât say enough about the impact these donor dollars will have on kidsâ lives so please help us fill the ballpark stands.â
âOn behalf of the Âé¶čAV Falcons, we are pleased to be able to make a direct impact on the lives of kids in our community through our partnership with the YMCA of Okanagan,â added Mark Nonis, Âé¶čAV Falcons general manager.
âAs a professional sporting association, we believe every child should have access to participate in health, recreation and developmental opportunities that will encourage them to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.â
Tickets for the game are only $10 and can be purchased online at . They can also be picked up from YMCA Member Services staff at either the Âé¶čAV Family YMCA, H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre, or at YMCA Youth Works at the Towne Centre Mall in downtown Âé¶čAV, 103-565 Bernard Aven.
