Here's a few things to help kick start your day:
1) The weather. Environment Canada says while November was the warmest November of record, Dccember may be a little more normal. There's a little snow on the way. While today will be a mixture of sun and cloud and unseasonably warm at 6 C, snow is predicted for the weekend. The weather office says there could be five cm of the white stuff on the ground Saturday morning. City of Âé¶¹AV works crews say for the snow.
2) Today is World AIDS Day. Marked around the world to remember those who have died from HIV/AIDSand to help raise awareness, the day has been from Âé¶¹AV Mayor Colin Basran. An event will be held tonight at the Âé¶¹AV Art Gallery.
3) It proved popular this summer, so organizers of the Rock The Lake outdoor music festival at Âé¶¹AV's Prospera Place are bringing it back next summer. The line-up for the 2017 edition this morning.
4) In sports, the Âé¶¹AV Rockets last night 4-1, following up their Saturday night win over the CHL's top team the Regina Pats.
5) Speaking of ice, it's time to lace up your skates because Âé¶¹AV's popular, free open-air ice rink in Stuart Park is today for the season.
