West 麻豆AV council has established a new organization to pursue economic growth and prosperity in the community.
Mayor Gord Milsom announced the creation of the West 麻豆AV Economic Development Corporation (WKEDC) at council鈥檚 March 25 meeting.
鈥淭o guide this initiative the city will be seeking motivated and experienced individuals to serve on the board of directors.鈥�
Milsom added their goal is to help shape the corporation鈥檚 strategic direction, and contribute to the success of business development, retention and expansion in West 麻豆AV.
The city is looking for individuals with experience in legal and risk management; accounting; development planning or construction; agricultural, agri-tourism, or the wine industry; small business and retail; manufacturing and tech; and secondary or post-secondary education.
