Interior Health is issuing an alert for a measles exposure that took place in Âé¶¹AV.
The exposure happened on July 15 and 16 at the Calvary Chapel Âé¶¹AV Vacation Bible School located at the Âé¶¹AV Christian School, 2870 Benvoulin Rd., from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The regional health authority is asking people who were at the Bible school during these times to monitor for. Those who may start to feel symptoms can call 811 for an initial assessment.
"If you need to visit a health-care provider, please call ahead so they can take the necessary steps to ensure you don't pass the infection on to others," said IH.
The health authority follows up directly with known contacts of measles cases.
IH is notifying the public about this exposure as its unable to identify and contact everyone who may have been exposed.
People who are most at risk of infection are those who are completely unvaccinated against the disease, including children under one year of age.
This is the second exposure this month in the Central Okanagan.
The first took place on July 7, 9, 10, 11 — each time between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. — at Chopped Leaf in Lake Country, located at Unit 76-9522 Main St.
