Two Central Okanagan schools are getting a big boost, thanks to an $80,000 donation from BMO to support the YMCA鈥檚 Beyond the Bell program.

Raymer Elementary in 麻豆AV, and Chief Tomat Elementary in West 麻豆AV will benefit from the bank鈥檚 multi-year commitment, which will help ensure students have the academic and social support they need after school.

鈥淥ur children need us,鈥� said Allyson Graf, President and CEO of the YMCA of Southern Interior BC. 鈥淭his program is crucial in providing wrap-around supports that helps young learners overcome complex challenges and keep up academically with their peers.鈥�

Beyond the Bell supports students in Grades 1 through 5 who are referred by teachers or principals. Many face complex barriers to learning, and the program offers a safe, supportive space with literacy and numeracy help, social skill development, and healthy snacks.
