Rock out at Âé¶čAV's Red Bird for Battle of the Bands

A local music group will win a paid spot to perform at Âé¶čAV's annual Rock the Lake festival

Rock the Lake is hosting a Battle of the Bands at Red Bird Brewing in Âé¶čAV on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1, 2025.

The ever-popular summer festival Rock the Lake is ready to rock Âé¶čAV in a new way. 

On Feb. 28 and Mar. 1, 2025, some of the Okanagan's best in the music scene will battle it out at Red Bird Brewing for a paid spot at the 2025 festival. 

Bands must apply for one of 10 spots to perform in the two-night Battle of the Bands competition. 

“Hosting a Battle of the Bands has crossed our mind a few times, so it was an easy yes to work with Rock The Lake on this event,” said Adam Semeniuk, General Manager of Red Bird Brewing. “It’s not just about highlighting incredible local talent, but like all our events at Red Bird, it’s about bringing people together to celebrate local creativity, with great food and beer, of course."

to join the contest are due Jan. 15, 2025. There is no cost to apply. 

“Rock The Lake is all about showcasing talent and connecting bands with live music fans,” said Dustin Pakosh, Creative Director at GSL Group, the parent company of Rock the Lake. “With the Battle of the Bands, we want to give back to the local music scene, celebrate our community, and the festival's legacy through local live music. We’re so excited to dive deeper into the local rock music scene with Red Bird Brewing.”

Tickets for the public to watch the battle will go on sale in the new year at .
