Mother Nature is putting a damper on skiing, snowboarding and skating at SilverStar Mountain Resort.
The ski hill has closed Vance Creek (the Chute and part of Show-off), the main terrain park, Brewerâs Pond, Tube Town and all double black terrain on the backside.
âIn consideration of the current weather forecast we expect our operations will be impacted in the coming days,â the resort said. âOur teams are constantly monitoring conditions and will continue to assess these throughout the week.â
Putnam Creek is open with limited terrain. All terrain left of Powder Gulch on the Sunny Ridge side is closed.
âPlease respect the closures our patrol teams have in place and ski and ride on open terrain only, the closures are in place for the safety of our guests,â SilverStarâs website reads. âWe will re-open closed terrain as it becomes safe to do so.â
The Bannister Terrain Park and Little Dipper Terrain Parks are open.
âWe still have a few more days of mild weather under a persistent southwesterly flow. Expect intermittent mixed precipitation until Thursday. By Friday, snow levels will return to near village levels.â
