Some local RCMP members are putting their power into helping kids in the region.
Cops for Kids has North Okanagan鈥檚 Const. Nick Reimann cycling again this year, and Cpl. Tania Finn has been providing crucial assistance on the support team for the annual event.

The team of cyclists from across the region have been tackling the Cops for Kids Ride across south eastern B.C. to raise funds and awareness for children facing illness, disability, or traumatic crisis.
The team of 26 have been training on their own time, volunteering at community events, and fundraising a minimum of $2,500 in order to be selected for the team.
The group left 麻豆AV Friday, Sept. 6 and has been cycling through the South Okanagan, over to the Kootenays as far east as Cranbrook, and will return back through Vernon on the penultimate day Saturday, Sept. 14.
As a part of the route, the team has been stopping in communities across the province at community events organized to meet with the children who benefit from the fundraising efforts, and for the public to meet with these riders who have dedicated to much in order to pedal for the local kids.
The team will arrive at the Vernon RCMP detachment on Saturday at 3 p.m., where they encourage everyone to come meet the team and support their journey.
