Kindness starts with a smile, and Tim Hortons is serving it up with its 2nd annual Holiday Smile Cookie campaign that runs next week.
Holiday Smiles will be returning to local Tim’s restaurants, including Sicamous, Revelstoke and all three Salmon Arm locations, from Nov. 18 to 24, in support of the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and other charities.
Sicamous Coun. Pam Beech announced the initiative’s return at the Nov. 13 Committee of the Whole meeting, where she also commended Sicamous’ generosity in the last one.
“We kicked everybody into the gutter last year with our sales on smiley cookies. We did really well last year, we outsold all through the Okanagan and Shuswap... Tim Horton’s was blown away,” she said. “The support here was great and we’re hoping to have another week of the same kind of support.”
It’s a tasty way to give back, with goodness baked into every bite of the white chocolate sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles and hand-decorated with “a perfectly imperfect white smile.”
The Holiday Smile Cookies are $1.50, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the Tim Hortons Camps and other community groups.
