As the 2025 Brier is set to begin in Âé¶čAV at month's end, the Rotary Centre for the Arts (RCA) is joining in on the fun of the 11-day event.
For the duration of the tournament (Feb. 28-Mar. 9), the RCA will have workshops, activities, events, and more all related to the tournament and curling.
âThe RCA is thrilled to be part of the excitement surrounding the 2025 Montana Brier in Âé¶čAV. Just steps away from the action, weâre offering a vibrant lineup of events, performances, and workshops that celebrate both curling and creativity,â said RCA executive director Colleen Fitzpatrick. âWhether you're a lifelong arts lover or simply looking for something fun to do between matches, we invite you to experience the incredible culture and community spirit that make Âé¶čAV so special.â
On Saturday, Mar. 1, the RCA will be showing Curl Power, which is a documentary following five Maple Ridge teenage girls (4KGirl$) chasing their dream of becoming Canadian National Curling Champions while navigating the legacies of their world-champion mothers.
Also, a colouring contest has started for a chance for kids to win tickets to the Brier and other prizes. The curling colour pages can be picked up at RCA or found online. There are two age categories: seven and under and eight to 13. Submissions must be in by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 with the draw taking place on Friday, Feb. 28 at noon.
The RCA will have many other workshops and shows also ongoing throughout the event.
