The Okanagan Heritage Museum in Âé¶čAV is excited to present its vast wardrobe to the public.

Opening on March 7 is ‘Spring Fashion: From Collections to the Catwalk’ where the museum will display some of the 2,500 pieces of clothing.

“One of the museum’s key roles is collecting. We preserve and share objects – and the stories they hold – for education, research and of course, public enjoyment. We hope out visitors will be motivated to join one of our tours where you can take a rare peek into our storage vaults,” said Âé¶čAV Museum Society’s Curatorial Manager Amanda Snyder.

The collection includes everything from wedding dresses and tuxedos to socks and underwear. Accessories such as vintage hats, gloves, and handbags will also be on display.

The opening celebration of the exhibit is planned for March 14 at 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to channel their inner fashionista for a best-dressed prize contest.

Those interested are asked to register by emailing info@kelownamuseums.ca.

The exhibit will be open until May 26.
