This historic photo is from 2003, when residents watched as the city was threatened by a wildfire initially sparked by lightning in Okanagan Mountain Park. Many were recalling this time as 20 years later a blaze tore through West Â鶹AV, over to North Â鶹AV and down to Lake Country on Aug. 17.
