Coffee service company, Mill Creek Coffee is celebrating 25 years in business.  B.C. owned and operated by Scott Mitchell, who was born and raised in Âé¶čAV, the company focuses on customer service, not corporate profits, first and foremost. An interesting piece of trivia. The coffee grinder in the company’s logo is an ode to Scott’s mother, who had that very coffee grinder in her kitchen. They are still a small family, dedicated to delivering on the promise to exceed your expectations. Starting from a small office in Surrey in July of 2000, to now servicing the entire province through their head office in Coquitlam and their two branch offices, one in Âé¶čAV and the other in Nanaimo, they deliver that promise. With a ton of local variety and an endless array of equipment choices, Mill Creek can now satisfy any client need that arises.

He has now acquired his own commercial kitchen and is able to expand his chocolate line and also produce more products. Along with producing in the new commercial kitchen, Matan has also been able to acquire a new commercial wrapper packaging machine that packages significantly more chocolate, which in turn will lower the price of his product. Formerly, they were packaging by hand, at one package of chocolate per minute. Now, Matan can package 60 packages of chocolate per minute. Matan uses only real ingredients in his artisan chocolate which are 100% plant based, using European dark and white chocolate and all Canadian brand packaging.  Drop Naked is only offered wholesale to over 100 stores across Canada, including Nature’s Fare. Âé¶čAV resident, Bill Steciuk didn’t believe in Ogopogo. But that was about to change. In October 1978 while driving across the bridge, he saw something in the water that made him stop. All the traffic behind him also stopped, all of whom saw what Bill had seen, a serpentine head with three black humps behind it. They watched the creature for at least a minute before he disappeared. Bill knew he had just seen the legendary lake creature, Ogopogo. Bill’s book, A Legend Hunter’s Search for Ogopogo the Elusive Creature of Okanagan Lake documents the startling finding of a 25-year inquiry into some of the most fascinating cryptozoological mysteries in the world.  Bill has become known as an authority on Ogopogo, both locally in the Okanagan and internationally. He has participated in several documentary films and TV shows on the subject and is the founder of Legend Hunters, an archive and online hub for stories and sightings. You will notice in the book that the word “monster” is not used. Ogopogo is our friend. The book is available at Indigo, Mosaic, E-Bay, Amazon and the First Nations Gift Shop. .
