Penticton's newest hospitality business has officially opened its doors.

Bialto Bed & Breakfast has begun welcoming guests at 1112 Syer Rd. Its owners are hosting a grand opening celebration on July 16.

The business, located within a single-family home built in 2023, can be found on the eastern hillsides of Penticton within the Sendero Canyon neighbourhood.

The property, zoned as Small-Scale Multi-Unit Residential, was subject to a public hearing in January 2025 at Penticton City Council. A site-specific provision was later approved to allow for the bed and breakfast to proceed.

A public hearing document provided by the city earlier this year stated that the house is still intended to be used as the primary residence of the owner. Three sleeping rooms will be used for guest accommodation, it added.

The 3,476-square-foot home was purchased in November 2024 for $2.05 million, according to BC Assessment.

Bialto Bed & Breakfast is an "inspired retreat designed to celebrate the region’s natural beauty and creative community," its owners said ahead of the July 16 grand opening.

"We’ve just begun welcoming guests, and the response has been exceptional."
