Megan Osland has a win on the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour.
On Sunday, June 22, the 32-year-old shot a final round 70 (-2) to win the inaugural St. Louis Women's Championship.
The Âé¶¹AV native had an unbelievable start to the tournament on Thursday, June 19, birdieing the first seven holes. That round, she finished with a weekend best 65 to hold an early lead after the first round.
Osland then shot a two-over 74 on Friday, but responded with a one-under 71 on Saturday to head into Sunday's final round tied with China's Siyen Chen at six under par.
On Sunday, Osland and Chen were in a head-to-head battle all day, with both of them inching forward and falling back throughout the round. Tied at six-under still, both golfers birdied the par five 16th to move to seven-under. They then both parred the par three 17th.
On the 18th hole, Osland was able to knock down a 15-foot putt for birdie to win the inaugural tournament eight-under par. Her win also came with a purse of $12,500. Chen won $7,000.
With the win, the Âé¶¹AV golfer is now third in the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour standings. The top five golfers at seasons end surpass Stage 1 of the LPGA Qualifying Series.
It's a quick turnaround for Osland as she teed of the tour's next event, the Children's Hospital of Illinois Championship on Wednesday, June 25. The four-day tournament finishes on Saturday, June 28.
