Re: West Âé¶čAV referendum: Count till you get it right.
The reaction of the West Âé¶čAV city council to the results of the civic hall referendum (possible recount, etc.) is strange. It reminds a sad joke from North Korea: âIt is not important how people vote, what is important how votes are counted.â
In my professional career (Iâve worked for the United Nations for many years) I advised governments in eastern Europe and Africa. I can assure you that, though it seems that such campaigns are about figures and calculations, at the end it is about trust.
And the city council shall be concerned not about the results of the referendum but about a âno-confidenceâ vote from half of the voters.
