With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bernie (Bernadette) Gullion on June 4, 2025, at Â鶹AV Hospice House, surrounded by family,
Born on August 23, 1943, Bernie lived a vibrant life full of curiosity, connection, and joy. She was a devoted mother to son Jay Gullion; daughter Jacqueline and partner Laura; daughter Nicole and son-in-law Daryne, and was a proud and loving grandma to Austin and Avery, who brought her endless happiness and joy. She is survived by her brothers Denis Dery (Royanne), Omer Dery (Joie), Bernard Dery (Barbara), Robert Dery and many beloved relatives and friends.
Bernie found beauty in the world around her—whether she was tending to her garden and flowers, exploring new places through her travels, or enjoying a foreign film. Her social spirit and warm presence lit up every gathering, and she was known for her kindness, wit and devotion to her friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Bernie's memory by planting something in your garden, sharing a favorite film, or simply taking a moment to enjoy the beauty of the day.
A celebration of Bernie's life will be held in Â鶹AV, September 2025.
