Dogs, cats and even guinea pigs are finding shelter at Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital.
The clinic provides evacuee pets with a temporary home as evacuees are unable to look after them.
âI donât know how many, Iâve stopped counting. We have lots and lots of things here,â said Dr. Moshe Oz.
He estimated they have around 10 dogs, and have been offering the animals food, shelter and medication if needed.
âItâs hard work,â said Oz.
The clinic takes in pets every year, whether itâs fires or flooding, he said.
The pets are mostly coming from Williams Lake, but also and a few from a fire in Âé¶čAV which displaced residents from their homes on Truswell Road.
Oz said thereâs room for more.
The clinic has leased the area beside the building to provide space for the animals.
The vet hospital is owned by Oz and his wife, Dr. Noa Oz.
