The Vernon Winter Carnival hopes to top the podium in 2026.
The Carnival revealed its 2026 theme Wednesday, July 2, for the 66th annual Winter Carnival Feb. 6-15 鈥� Team Carnival - Canada Goes For Gold!
Valley First credit union is back as the Carnival's presenting sponsor for what the event promises to be "10 days of frosty fun, friendly competition, and true Canadian spirit."
Vernon Winter Carnival 2026 kicks off on the same day as the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
"As athletes around the world compete, Vernon Winter Carnival embraces that same energy and enthusiasm with our spirited theme," said Carnival board chair Vicki Proulx.
Designed to bring people together in celebration of the season, the festival will feature a jam-packed schedule of snow-filled games, sweet treat contests, team challenges, and community-wide activities that will warm hearts even in the chilliest weather.
Attendees are encouraged to show their pride in classic red and white 鈥� and don鈥檛 forget to add a splash of VWC blue 鈥� as they cheer, compete, and connect across a wide range of events.
In addition to the spirited competitions, VWC will host lively community gatherings, apr猫s-style parties, and neighbourhood celebrations to keep the energy high from morning to night.
