Âé¶čAV RCMP are investigating a stabbing that happened on Canada Day.
A media release states a stabbing occurred on July 1, around 8 a.m. near Richter Street and Coopland Crescent.
Âé¶čAV RCMP responded to the report of an injured man on Richter, and when they arrived on scene, found a man who had sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds.
The man was transported to hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, said Cpl. Judith Bertrand, media liaison officer for the Âé¶čAV Regional Detachment, in the release.
Suspects have been arrested and police say âthere is no reason to believe that the public is at risk.â
The investigation is still underway, led by the Âé¶čAV RCMP General Investigation Section. The investigation is linked to a residence nearby.
âThe stabbing is believed to be targeted and no other suspects are outstanding,â Bertrand added.
