A two-month long investigation into local drug trafficking, led by the Âé¶čAV RCMP Street Enforcement Unit, culminated in the execution of 3 search warrants earlier this month, which yielded both illicit drugs and cash, acording to police.

On March 22, RCMP officers used warrants to search two motor vehicles and a home in the 1800-block of Country Club Drive in Âé¶čAV. During the search, police seized what they described as a “significant” number of items, including suspected illicit drugs, cash, money counters, multiple safes and packaging materials consistent with the drug trade.

“In total police seized over 239 grams of suspected cocaine, and over 160 grams of suspected heroin, in various forms and most of which were individually packaged ready for distribution,” says Corp. Jesse O’Donaghey. “Police also located and seized a total sum of nearly $9,000 in cash.”

Two 22-year-old men and an 18-year-old woman each from the Vancouver area, along with an 18-year-old Ontario man were arrested by police during the course of the investigation. Each face potential charges and are expected to appear in Âé¶čAV Courts on July 10.
