Pair apprehended after Âé¶¹AV liquor store robbed at gunpoint

A 29-year-old Âé¶¹AV man and a 27-year-old Kamloops man are in custody after the Jan 17 armed robbery at Jammer's on Harvey Avenue.

Two men, one from Âé¶¹AV and one from Kamloops, are in custody after an armed robbery at a Âé¶¹AV liquor store Sunday night.

According to police, the men were apprehended Monday after a white truck matching the description of one used by two robbers who held up Jammer's Liquor Store at 1973 Harvey Avenue was spotted in Rutland and stopped.

The pair, a 29-year-old man from Âé¶¹AV man and a 27-year-old man from Kamloops were arrested without incident. Police recovered a firearm inside the vehicle.

On Jan. 17 at 9:11 pm, Âé¶¹AV RCMP responded to an armed robbery at Jammer's. Two men had entered the store, one produced a firearm and pointed it at the store employee. The pair then stole money and liquor.

During the the heist, a customer entered the store and police say the robbers pointed the gun at the customer as they fled, driving away in a white truck. The robbery was caught on surveillance video.

The men in custody face a number of potential firearms related charges and robbery charges, say police.

Investigators want to speak with the customer.
