Âé¶čAV ketamine clinic a dissociative game changer for mental health

EntheoMed has been offering ketamine therapy in Âé¶čAV since April 2022, now offering MDMA and psilocybin therapy

Âé¶čAV is making waves in mental health treatments.

EntheoMed has been working with ketamine to treat mental illness and chronic pain.

“Ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic,” explained co-owner Fraser Johnston. “It can allow you to look at potentially something that happened in your life or a circumstance from a different perspective.”

EntheoMed started offering ketamine therapy in April of 2022, operating out of another clinic in town. The company opened the doors to its own facility in April 2023 and has had great success with its clientele.

Patients are referred by a family doctor and must undergo testing to see if the treatment is suitable for them. The dose of ketamine is administered in clinic by a doctor with a registered nurse to assist. Johnston said they also have a psychiatrist in the clinic on treatment days and patients have a follow-up appointment scheduled within 48 hours of treatment.

“The world is definitely changing and how people are thinking about ‘drugs’ is changing. How we refer to it here is medicine
We’re not the healers, we’re essentially trying to get people in touch with their own inner healing intelligence.”

Johnston said ketamine allows the brain to reset. He compared it to a ski hill that has set paths and groves in the snow. Ketamine is like the freshly fallen snow that allows new paths to be formed.

EntheoMed has been approved in the past for psilocybin therapy for a small handful of patients. They have recently received their first patient approval for MDMA therapy.

“This is the future of mental health treatments. This is where the industry and the marketplace is going,” Johnston said. “People have been crying out to us for new solutions. Things like antidepressants not working anymore, people are seeking new solutions and they’re tired of talking. There’s only so much talking you can do with a therapist, but what we’re doing is helping get out of your mind and body in a controlled environment that’s really helping people have these breakthroughs or transformational experiences.”

The clinic is located in the Skyline condo and retail plaza at 1131 Lawson Ave. Learn more about the clinics and the benefits of ketamine therapy at .
