Marijuana activist Dana Larsen addressed a crowd of more than 100 people last night during his stop in 麻豆AV for his OverGrow Canada tour.

The aim of the tour is to give cannabis seeds to the public, so they may grow them as a sign of civil disobedience.

Larsen handed out more than 20,000 seeds during the meeting.

His next stop is in Calgary, where he was during his tour last year.

鈥淚t was a packed room and there was a lot of enthusiasm so I felt pretty good about the night,鈥� said Larsen. 鈥淲e got a really good response last year in 麻豆AV as well.鈥�

He supports marijuana dispensaries in 麻豆AV and West 麻豆AV.

鈥淚 think the dispensary movement is part of a civil disobedience campaign that has been very successful in changing the enforcement across Canada,鈥� he said. 鈥淚 think the dispensaries are really saving lives as an alternative for opiates,鈥� adding cannabis is a good pain reliever and could be used for withdrawal symptoms.

Larsen thinks Justin Trudeau鈥檚 timeline for legalization is not a realistic goal. 鈥淚 anticipate dragging this out a long time.鈥�

Larsen will be presenting in Calgary as the last stop on his tour.
