RCMP have now identified the body of a man recovered from Okanagan Lake early Wednesday morning in West Âé¶čAV.
âRCMP investigators have now positively identified the deceased as a 49-year-old Âé¶čAV man,â stated Cpl. Jesse OâDonaghey. âThe investigation into the manâs death has now been turned over to the BC Coroners Service, as his death has been deemed not suspicious in nature.â
On July 27, 2017 shortly before 8:30 am, West Âé¶čAV RCMP were called after the discovery of a deceased male found floating in the waters of Okanagan Lake in the Casa Loma area.
Police are not releasing the manâs name.

RCMP are currently on scene, after the discovery of a deceased male found floating in the waters of Okanagan Lake in the Casa Loma area of Lake View Heights in West Âé¶čAV.
West Âé¶čAV RCMP were called to the scene of the discovery shortly before 8:30 am this morning.
The investigation, into the manâs death, is in the early stages as RCMP await the arrival of a coroner with the BC Coroners Service.
âAs such, the deceased has not yet been positively identified,â says Cpl. Jesse OâDonaghey. âThe support of the local fire department and a trained dive team will likely be required for the safe recovery of the manâs body.â
The West Âé¶čAV RCMP will continue to work closely with BC Coroners Service.
