A body discovered in West Âé¶čAV Saturday has been positively identified and the RCMP have now handed the investigation over to the BC Coroners Service.
On Aug. 12 just before 11 a.m., RCMP responded to the 3200 block of Cougar Road after being informed of the discovery of a deceased individual in a wooded area alongside MacDougall Creek in West Âé¶čAV.
âRCMP can confirm that the deceased male has now been positively identified, by the BC Coroners Service, as missing youth, Jake Fehr,â said Cpl. Jesse OâDonaghey, in a press release.
âWe are profoundly saddened by this discovery, our deepest sympathy is extended to Jakeâs family and friends during this difficult time.â
Fehrâs family has respectfully requested that their privacy be respected during their time of grief.
West Âé¶čAV RCMP continue to assist the BC Coroners Service in their ongoing investigation into Jakeâs death, which is believed not to be suspicious in nature. Further media inquiries are to be directed to the BC Coroners Service.
