A dog has died after a house caught fire in West Âé¶čAV Wednesday evening.
The blaze started just after 6 p.m. and was witnesses say it was already fully involved when firefighters got to the home on Westside Road in Traderâs Cove.
Wilson Landing Fire chief Don Bennison said it was a stubborn fire, but that crews got the job done.
âFlames were stubborn on the roof, but we kept putting water on it,â said Bennison. âIt went out late, there werenât any issues, and the investigation is getting going.â
Bennison said that the residentâs pet dog may have been lost in the fire, and they wonât know the cause of the fire until the investigation is completed.
The home was largely destroyed by the blaze.
