Sicamous RCMP took a side-by-side all terrain vehicle off road after the driver was found making a handful of infractions.

At approximately 7 p.m. on June 29, an officer saw the side-by-side driving on Oxbow Frontage Road in Malakwa, which is not legally allowed and revealed additional violations.

"The vehicle, which was illegal to operate on the roadway, did not have any active insurance," Sgt. Murray McNeil said in a media release. "The driver was noted to show signs of impairment by alcohol."

The officer conducted a road side breath demand, which resulted in the vehicle being impounded for three days. The driver was also noted to not have a valid drivers licence.
