Various units of the Â鶹AV RCMP converged on a Hein Road residence to execute a search warrant Friday night and took into custody a 29-year-old Â鶹AV man.
On May 6, 2016 the Â鶹AV RCMPprolific offender suppression team, along with the support the detachment's general duty section, street enforcement team and the emergency response team converged on a residence in the 400 block of Hein Road.
"RCMP executed a warrant on the property which yielded the seizure of a prohibited firearm and ammunition," said Const. Jesse O'Donaghey, in a press release.
The investigation is ongoing. Contrary to reports in the media, there were no coroner at the scene.
The 29-year-old Â鶹AV man remains in police custody expected to appear in Court on Monday.
