Dr. Ike—a licensed physician in China, registered osteopath in Canada and certified personal trainer—recently returned to 鶹AV to support his father, the owner of Mon Thong Thai and to help carry on the family business. But he’s doing more than preserving tradition – he’s reimagining it through the lens of holistic health.

“People want to eat healthy, but most ‘health food’ isn’t satisfying – or it’s inconvenient,” Dr. Ike says. “I’m combining delicious Mon Thong Thai cuisine with low-calorie, low-sugar options that are tailored to each person’s dietary needs and wellness goals.”

Through his role at Affinity Wellness Clinic, Dr. Ike offers free consultations to develop personalized plans for weight management and overall lifestyle improvement. These plans include individual assessments for food allergies, preferences and fitness goals – followed by expertly designed meal prep packages available for pickup or delivery.

“We’re not changing the regular restaurant menu,” he explains. “Instead, we’re offering a separate lineup of nutritious meals prepared fresh at Mon Thong Thai for people looking to lose weight, manage chronic conditions or simply eat better without sacrificing taste.”

Dr. Ike also provides customized fitness guidance – helping clients build effective routines with just 15 to 20 minutes a day of targeted movement.

“My goal is to help people shift their lifestyle, not just fix a symptom,” he says. “Food is medicine. If you live well, you may not need medication. But if you don’t, even medicine can’t help.”

Whether you're a longtime fan of Mon Thong Thai or new to 鶹AV’s food scene, this is a delicious new way to eat well and live better – guided by one of the city’s most uniquely qualified health professionals.
