The World of Wheels rolls into West Â鶹AV on Saturday, July 19.
The family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kinsmen Athletic Park, located at 3170 Shannon Lake Road.
Traffic around the area is expected to be busier than usual throughout the day especially near Shannon Lake Road, Shannon Way, and Asquith Road as organizers and participants set up and tear down.
Drivers are being asked to slow down and stay alert, as volunteers and traffic control crews will be on hand to help guide vehicles and ensure everyone gets where they’re going safely.
Access will still be available for emergency vehicles, local residents, and those heading to the Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre.
Businesses in the area, including Shannon Lake Convenience Store and Neighbours Pub and Liquor Store, will remain open as usual.
Although Kinsmen Athletic Park will be closed for most of the day, from about 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., the playground will remain open to the public during the event.
