Wildfire documentary screening bringing powerful stories to Peachland

Peachland Fire and Rescue Service (PFRS) is a hosting a viewing of the film Incandescence.
 
The National Film Board production, by Nova Ami and Velcrow Ripper, blends on-the-ground footage with stories of survival and resilience.
 
Admission is free. The Salvation Army will provide free food and drinks. After the film, PFRS will host a panel discussion on wildfire prevention and preparedness.
 
The district is grateful for the support of Krystal Withakay, syilx Artist and Knowledge Keeper, and Dennis Craig, Assistant Chief, Mitigation and Prevention with the Âé¶¹AV Fire Department. He is also the former Peachland fire chief.
 
Incandescene is being shown at the Community Centre on Saturday, May 31. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the film beginning at 4:30 p.m.
