West 鶹AV’s favourite summer celebration is back for its 44th year—and the team behind it promises another unforgettable weekend.
From July 10–13, Westside Daze will take over Memorial Park with a packed lineup of live music, food trucks, artisans, family activities and, the parade.
“It means a whole lot—bringing West 鶹AV together, families of all ages to watch the entertainment, laugh, have fun,” said Jarrett Young, the event’s media and marketing coordinator.
Young said it’s a true community effort, powered by volunteers and local businesses coming together to make the magic happen.
“All the help, and sponsorships that we get from the community, and all the businesses that help put this on—it’s fantastic,” he said.
This year’s entertainment lineup includes:
- Jackson Hollow – award-winning bluegrass harmonies
- Totally Twain – a tribute to Canadian icon Shania Twain
- Jonathan Williams – a local artist bringing heart and soul to the stage
- Appaloosa – high-energy country rock
- Munro Patrick – crowd-pleasing feel-good hits
For families, there’s no shortage of fun including giant inflatables, misting stations, foam parties, a pancake breakfast, and performances by The Reptile Queen and Just4Fun.
Shooting Star Amusements will also be on site, and a drone show is planned to light up the night sky.
The Westside Daze parade rolls down Brown Road on Saturday, July 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Opening ceremonies are Friday at 6:30 p.m.
