A groundbreaking event to celebrate the redevelopment of Parkinson Recreation Centre will take place on Wednesday, April 30.
âThe groundbreaking marks the start of construction on the most ambitious and transformative facility in Âé¶čAVâs history,â states a City of Âé¶čAV media release. "Community activities such as disk golf and a collaborative mural project will provide opportunities for the community to commemorate this milestone.â
Council approved a development permit for the project at its April 15 meeting.
The public is invited to attend the event at 1555 Burtch Road (north end of park near Apple Bowl) starting at 2 p.m.
Limited parking available off Burtch Rd, and the city is advising attendees to consider using other modes of transportation or carpooling.
