Search and rescue use helicopter to extract Â鶹AV cyclist

COSAR also helped a 77-year-old woman who went missing on a hike on Friday, July 25.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) had a busy Friday in Â鶹AV.

The volunteer search and rescue team helped rescue a Â鶹AV woman who went missing in Myra Canyon, along with extracting a cyclist who was injured.

Due to the nature of the cyclist's injuries, a helicopter transit was needed from the VSAR helicopter winch team.

The Air Rescue One helicopter winch society assisted in the retrieval of the cyclist.

Earlier in the day, COSAR found a missing 77-year-old woman who was on a hike in the hills above the Gillard Forest Service Road.

Fortunately, RCMP located the woman while COSAR was mobilized.
