Police are looking for a missing Japanese exchange student, Âé¶čAV RCMP say.
On Monday, Jan. 8, Âé¶čAV RCMP received a report of concern for a person who might be experiencing a crisis, 20-year-old Mia Saito. At that time, it was believed she was no longer in the Âé¶čAV area.
After initial investigation, it was determined Saito flew from Âé¶čAV (YLW) to Vancouver (YVR) on Sunday, Jan. 7 and landed around 7:30 p.m.
The Richmond RCMP and Metro Vancouver Transit Police are now helping with the investigation to determine her whereabouts since her arrival.
Saito is a Japanese exchange student in Âé¶čAV and is:
- 5â5â;
- Medium build;
- Black and possibly silver coloured hair;
- Dark coloured eyes.
Âé¶čAV RCMP are asking for the publicâs assistance in the Greater Vancouver area in finding Saito. They are also asking any friends or associates who may be in contact with her to call the police and let them know her location so they can confirm her well-being.
