Starting Monday, July 21, a section of K.L.O. Road between Como and Leader roads will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic between.

Traffic will be affected between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. until July 24.

Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians should plan for possible delays and consider alternate routes where possible.

Once that work wraps up, Como Road will close to traffic between Polo and K.L.O. roads for approximately five days. A detour will be set up via Leader Road.

These changes are part of the ongoing K.L.O. Road Bridge Replacement Project, which includes replacing the aging bridge, upgrading nearby infrastructure and adding a roundabout to improve traffic flow and safety.

The project also aims to make the area more accessible for people walking, biking or using other active transportation options.

The city is asking everyone to follow the directions of traffic personnel and obey posted signage to keep things safe for workers and commuters alike.
